Thanks for the post. As a Kansas City person, I am NOT a fan of the points system. It’s super difficult to navigate…more business for CVS, I guess.

I know it is not fun…..I really am hoping they realize it is a bad thing. It has been nearly a year since they launched it and it hasn’t been a good program.

Does anyone know if you buy multiples of the point generating item in one transaction, do you get double the points? I am looking at the Right Guard B1G1. Would you get 700pts or 1400 pts for buying 2?
I don’t like the points system either…..:(

To be totally honest, I am not sure. I’ve pretty much stopped shopping at WAGS since they rolled out this new program. We can try to call them tomorrow to find out: (877-924-7392)

I am in KC and I bought the Right Guard B1G1 and got 1400 points.

I would LOVE getting points instead of RR. For one thing you can print the certificate and use it any time whereas the RR have a short exp date. The problem is the points almost never add up to the same amount as what the other areas are getting in RR
I did notice on todays ad that the GUM product will be the same amount of points – 800 points + $2 and that is what they are giving out in RR>
Traciesays
That is rare Michele. The points system is NOT what you think it may be – it has forced many to cease shopping at Walgreens as frequently.

just thought of something. do we actually have to buy TWO of the Kotex products to generate the RR???? or could we just buy one item and generate the RR?
Traciesays
It is required purchase of 2 for the RR to print and they must be within the same transaction.

How do you know if you are in the “test market?” I got a RR yesterday does that mean I am not in it?
Traciesays
If the deal listed shows TEST MARKET and you were able to receive RR for the deal, then you are not in the test market. As mentioned in the post, Richmond, Kansas City and Portland are in the test market.

I think another way to tell if you are in the test market is if they want to scan your card every time you check out. If your ad has walgreen’s coupons that have to be scanned you aren’t in the test market, if they are ‘clipless’ coupons you are in the test market.
Hope that helps too!!

Thanks Tracie. I will try to give them a call to see what they say! Let me know if you find anything out before I do! I am not digging the point system either. Not equal at all.

Was just at Walgreens, they have Reach toothbrushes for .99 so if you weren’t able to find the CVS deal a few weeks ago and still have your coupons for $2 off any 2 Reach toothbrushes you could stock up!

I am definitely not a fan of the pt system either. By doing the math the
RR deal are just better. Luckily I go to Lawrence about every other week to see family so I get the RR when I’m there.
