I know that I hear lots of complaints about using coupons at Walmart and the hassles that many of you get. Actually, not just with coupons, but even with price matching. Well, there is GOOD NEWS! Effective October 15th, Walmart updated it’s policy. Now, this is not yet on their corporate website, but I had an employee pass along the changes. Here’s what you’ll find now:
* Walmart will now price match coupons found in ads (such as Walgreens in-ad coupon prices). Do not clip the coupon, but they will price match down to the price stated within the coupon. (They also still will not accept competitor’s coupons, such as Target).
* The policy no longer specifies that internet coupons must scan at the register, just as long as they are legitimate. Now – this could still be up for debate since many mangers try to determine what is a real vs. fake coupon – but the good news is that they can now manually input coupons!
I will watch the site for the new details when they are released to the general public on-line. That way, you can print the revised policy and keep it with you.
Thanks for the heads up Crystal!
