You will not believe just how simple the easy Valentine’s Day Cinnamon Rolls really are! If you can cook a can of cinnamon rolls, I promise you can make these beauties with ease! Pre-heat your oven, grab your can of cinnamon rolls, and let’s bake!
Can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (the large ones work best)
Pink food dye (gel or liquid)
Valentine’s Sprinkles (optional)
Separate each roll from the package. Carefully unroll about one half of the roll and then roll it back into self, . Make sure you leave a little excess in the middle, so you can form the point of the heart. Pinch the bottom together to make the strong point. Make sure you roll them tightly, as they will spread as they bake. Bake according to the package instructions.
Once they are baked, they should look something like this! Now it’s time to make your pink icing. Simple drop a couple of drops of pink (or red, or purple) food dye into the little icing tub that comes with the cinnamon rolls. Mix it up well (I use a fork), until the color is consistent.Drizzle it over the top of the cinnamon rolls using the fork. This will make your boring cinnamon rolls a pretty color, and foods are always more fun to eat when they’re pretty!
If you wanted to use the sprinkles, now is the time to put them on! I didn’t use a lot of sprinkles, because no one wants crunchy cinnamon rolls! I added just a few to make them have that little extra something on top. Now you can serve your kids, your husband, your office, or just yourself an adorable Valentine’s themed breakfast with very little effort involved!
